AI usage policy

At Smart Money Activity we use artificial intelligence tools in part of our work. This page explains how, within what limits, and what responsibility we take, so you know how what you are reading was produced.

1. How the content on this site is produced

Content published on Smart Money Activity may have been written by people, generated with the assistance of artificial intelligence, or produced in a hybrid way — which is the most common case: material built with AI that we then work on, correct and add our own judgement to.

Because the process is mixed and varies from piece to piece, we declare this in general terms rather than claiming a separation that does not always exist. Assume that any content on the site may involve AI, unless stated otherwise.

Specifically, as things stand today:

Market analysis (insights): Produced with AI assistance. We start from a brief on a specific topic, information is researched and cross-checked, and the article is written on that basis, with our own input and judgement. Each analysis also carries its own notice.
Market news: Headlines and summaries come from external outlets. Where they are shown in a language other than the original, the translation is machine-generated.
Site copy, cards and descriptions: These may be our own, AI-generated, or a combination of both.
Images and illustrations: Some of the visual material is AI-generated. The rest is our own design or stock imagery.
Catalan and English versions: The site's text has been translated with AI assistance.

2. What we do not do with AI

We do not fabricate data, figures, ratings or third-party opinions. Market data comes from the sources cited on each page.
We do not generate personalised investment recommendations. Not with AI, not without it: we are not financial advisers.
We do not use chatbots or conversational assistants on the site.
We do not analyse emotions or build behavioural profiles of visitors.

3. Review and responsibility

Published content is the responsibility of Smart Money Activity, regardless of the tools used to produce it. Artificial intelligence does not remove that responsibility, nor shift it to the tool provider.

Even so, AI can get things wrong: a figure, a misread source, or a plausible but incorrect claim. If you spot something wrong, write to us and we will correct it.

4. Regulatory framework

This policy responds to Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 on Artificial Intelligence, and in particular to two obligations:

Article 4 (AI literacy): applicable since 2 February 2025. It requires those deploying AI systems to ensure that whoever operates them understands their capabilities and limits.
Article 50 (transparency): applicable since 2 August 2026. It requires disclosure of AI-generated content intended to inform the public, and the marking of synthetic material.

The Spanish penalty regime and the powers of the Spanish Agency for the Supervision of Artificial Intelligence (AESIA) are still going through parliament. The European Regulation, by contrast, applies directly.
